 Some of the ethnic groups that live in Sierra Leone is the Mende and Temne. There are also many freed Jamaican slaves that live there. There are two countries that border Sierra Leone, these are Guinea and Liberia. It is also bordered by the Atlantic ocean.

Location Sierra Leone is located in Western Africa. Its capitol, Freetown, is located at 8° 29 ′ 4 ″ N, 13° 14 ′ 4 ″ W. It is also near the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.

Place  Sierra Leone has many physical features. Some of them are a coast of mangrove swamps, wooded hill country, upland plateau, and mountains in the east. Most of the people in the country live in areas near Freetown, the capitol.

 The resources that are in Sierra Leone are titanium ore, bauxite, iron ore, gold, and chromite. They are a very big source of diamonds as well.

 Most of its exports are diamonds, rutile, bauxite, coffee, cocoa, and fish. These are mostly sent to Belgium and the U.S.

Sierra Leone’s major imports are fuel, lubricants, rice, machinery, chemicals, pharmaceutical, building materials, light consumer goods, used clothing, and textiles. These are mostly imported from China and the U.S.

 Sierra Leone was once a British Colony. The most popular travel destinations in Sierra Leone are mountains, beaches, and swimming, boating, and canoeing in the ocean.

 The climate is very hot. The summer is the rainy season and the winter is the dry season.

 This affects the crops very much. The people have to work harder so their crops don’t get dehydrated. Most of the crops that are grown are rice, cassava, corn, millet, and peanuts.
