What are rights of a citizen? Rights are standards that keep institutions from harming people’s freedoms.

What are Some Institutions that Rights Protect Against? Institutions can include: governments, police forces, businesses, and other groups. Rights keep these institutions from abusing their powers. What are Responsibilities of Citizens? Citizens have to know that their actions can have consequences.
