Charlie And The Chocolate Factory Roald Dahl By: Lizbeth Figueroa Rivera ELA Pd.1

Characters Charlie Bucket- Poor boy who lives with his parents and grandparents. Charlie barely has any cloths and the cloths he does have are all torn up and old. Charlie is a boy full of hope, dreams and he is thankful for his family and what he has. Willy Wonka- Willy is a man who is always happy and exited. He wears a big long black hat, Long velvet jacket and has perfect teeth.

Setting This story mostly takes place in Willy Wonka’s factory at about 10:00 in the morning.

Conflict The conflict is that Willy Wonka is getting old so he’s trying to find a child who is trust worthy enough to take over the factory for Willy. So in order to do that, Willy puts one golden ticket in 5 chocolate bars. There is only 5 golden tickets around the whole world so who ever finds a golden ticket gets to go to the chocolate factory. Out of the 5 kids only one can stay to take over the factory, so Charlie tests all the kids and who ever is the last kid standing gets to be the next owner of Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.

Predictions When I was reading this book I kept making the wrong predictions because I had already seen the movie so I thought the scenes would be exactly like the movie but I was wrong. But I did make a prediction that came true and it was that Charlie would be the last kid standing because usually the main character is the one who wins in any story.
