Our Position We are against rainforest destruction

Entitlement  This land has been handed down unto us by our forefathers long before the corporations and government attempted to corrupt it of its natural resources and beauty.  If there is anybody that should have control over the fate of this land, it is us, not government plans like Avanca Brasil.

Natural Beauty  292 square miles of rainforest was destroyed in August That's a 228 percent increase over August  Slash and Burn farming has caused extensive environmental damage. This causes soil to lose its fertility and weeds to invade the area, which severely harms the natural beauty of the land.  26,000 sq km, or one fifth of the entire Amazon has already been cleared. If this alarming rate of deforestation increases, the rainforest will be no more.  The rainforest is a lush, species-rich paradise with more than 75,000 types of trees and 150,000 species of higher plants. One in ten known species in the world live in the Amazon Rainforest. If we keep allowing people to destroy this wonderful forest, it will never be as beautiful of a place as it is right now.

Natural Habitats  Do this slide Alex. PSB ALL THE WAY! Remember to explain why destruction of natural habitats is a important reason to save the rainforest
