Digital Library :19 systems with internet connectivity since 2008 onwards. In this paper Questionnaire method is used for gathering information from respondents. Although they are often designed for statistical analysis of the respondents, always this is not the case. It includes the need, Objective, method of data collection, pre-test, and limitation. METHODOLOGY:

The College Library is knowledge center the knowledge center has a beautiful Infrastructure, Collection, Maintenance, and dissemination of Information, satisfaction of information, Services and facilities. The Library has to planed systematically and carefully by the mission and vision of the Library NEED FOR THIS STUDY

To find the maximizing difficulties of User To improve the quality of Library and Services To provide high professional Standard To promote the use of Open Sources To examine the User opinion To Study about the Library Facilities To identify the utility of Open Sources To identify levels of Satisfaction with Open Source To meet the need of all user To create the awareness of the Open Source OBJECTIVE

The quality of Research is depending upon the data collection, proper analysis, High level interpretation with primary data and Secondary data. The Primary data was collected through Questioner from the staff members and students of Sudharsan Engineering College by distributing 100 questionnaires; Secondary data was collected from various record and network. DATA COLLECTION METHOD

1.It is focused only on Sudharsan Engineering College only. 2. Questioners back from the respondents, In spite of the follow on, the investigator could collect 94 questioners out of 100. Limitation

This Table Shows the using of Digital Library. In time spend in the Digital library concerned there is % respondents using the Digital Library One hour only. Among them staff 68.75%, Student % % respondents are using two hours. 7.44% respondents using the Library three hours per day. And 8.51 % respondents are using the library more than three ours. It is notable that Students are using the Library more time than the staff members. Among 6 Digital Library users, 5 students are hostler. This Table Shows that using of Open Source – Web mail: in Web mail using habit concerned, % respondents using frequently, among them 75 % are Staff members and 43 % are Students % respondents using Occasionally, among them % are Staff members and % are Students % respondents using Rarely, among them 4.16 % are Staff members and % are Students % respondents never used, among them 4.16 % are Staff members and % are students. It indicates % users are frequently using the Web mail. Staff members are frequently using the Web mail. But students are not aware of using web mail. This Table Shows that using of Open Source – GLPIl: GLPI using habit concerned, % users using frequently, among them 37.5 % are Staff members and are students % of the users using rarely, among them 25 % are staff members and % are students % users using occasionally, among them % are staff members and % are students % users never used, among them 4.16 % are Staff members and % are Students. GLPI is used frequently by staff members. Students are rarely using. UsingStaff%Stud ents %Total User % Frequently Occasionally Rarely Never

This Table Shows that using of Open Source TELNET concerned, 32 % of the users are rarely using the TELNET. Among them % respondents are staff and respondents are students. Especially staff members are rarely using this source % users are occasionally using % users never used this open source % of the users alone frequently using this open source. This Table Shows using of open source software SQL concerned, there are % respondents using this source occasionally. Among them % respondents are students. This Table Shows that usage of the open source according to the user point of view, there are 46.8 % respondents feel the web mail usage is Excellent. Among them % are staff members and % are students % respondents feel good % respondents feel below average % respondents feel Poor. It indicates the usage of web mail is excellent. This Table Shows that usage of the open source according to the user point of view, there are % respondents feel the GLPI usage is Excellent. Among them respondents are staff and % respondents are students % respondents are feeling good % respondents are feeling average respondents feel below average % respondents are feeling poor. This Table Shows that usage of the open source TELNET according to the user point of view, there are % respondents feel excellent % respondents feel good. But the ratio between these two is not a big variation % respondents are feeling below average % respondents are feeling poor. It indicates below average and poor is more felt many respondents. This Table Shows that usage of the open source MY SQL according to the user point of view, there are % respondents are feeling Below average % respondents are feeling Average % respondents are feeling excellent as well as good % respondents are feeling poor. Finding Concerning time spend in the Digital Library, there is % respondents using the Digital Library One hour only. Among them staff 68.75%, Student %. It is notable that Students are using the Library more than the staff members. Web mail using habit concerned, % respondents using frequently, among them 75 % are Staff members and 43 % are Students. Staff members are frequently using the Web mail. But students are not aware of using web mail. GLPI using habit concerned, % users using frequently, among them 37.5 % are Staff members and are students. GLPI is used frequently by staff members. Students are rarely using. Open Source TELNET concerned, 32 % of the users are rarely using the

Con.. Open Source Software SQL concerned, there are % respondents using this source occasionally. Among them % respondents are students. The usages of web mail, GLPI usage is excellent. But among the students it is not more effective comparing with staff members usage The usage of TELNET by many respondents is below average and poor. So it is not often used by the user. SQL Usage is below average. So the TELNET and SQL is not often at Sudharsan Engineering College.

Conclusion This paper has considered some opportunities for using open source software within Sudharsan Engineering College could provide benefit to the users. Students are more interested in using Library. Both students and staff members feel good at timing and open sources for using digital library. Both users are using the Open sources like Web Mail and GLPI are using frequently. But TELNET and My SQL is not popularized among the users. Some students have never used web mail due to less reliability and lack of awareness among them

Suggestion Library Staff members and other staff members from all the departments of Sudharsan Engineering College have to create further more awareness on open sources to the students. Management has to confirm the students that the web mail is reliable to use.
