Easy as Pushing the

Most of us know that print sources need to be cited, or it can be considered plagiarism.

Okay, you have found an image on the Internet, and you are ready to copy and paste.

You have to know the facts about citing before you paste. All pictures have been taken or created by someone else, and they must be given credit. Just like you want to put your signature on a drawing, they want praise for their designs.

Video sources need credit, too.

Here are two ways you can give credit: Create a “Clipart Resource” page. Place the URL under the clipart.

Copy and Paste your Picture or clipart onto your project. Under the picture on your slide, include the following information: Description or title of the image. URL. Date that it was retrieved. Remember to repeat these steps for each Internet picture used in the presentation.

Copy and paste your picture or clip-art onto your project. Create a “Clipart Resources” slide as the last slide of your presentation. Include the following information on your “Clipart Resource” slide next to the matching slide number. Description or title of the Image. URL. date that it was retrieved. Create a bulleted list of slide numbers. Example: * Slide 1 * Slide 2

Slide 1: The “Easy Button”. July 10, Slide 2: Jailhouse Drawing. July 11, Slide 3: Hannah Montana. July 11, 2007http:// Sponge Bob. Toon/Spongebob/Spongebob0003/Spongebob-0003.jpg.
