Example of a level D text

Questions you can ask before, during and after you read a book to your child. This will help with their reading comprehension.

Strategies to try when your child can’t read a particular word.

Please change the month to “March” instead of “February”. This will be a new homework routine. Hopefully to help your child learn all 45 word wall words by the end of kindergarten.

Tips on helping children tap out words for spelling and reading.

Example homework assignment where students should be tapping out the sounds on their own in order to complete written assignments.

Number id sheet we use to test fluency skills. “How many numbers can you read out loud in 1 minute??” The goal is to read all 56 in a minute by the end of the year.

An example math story problem and how the students are taught on how to solve a math problem. Show with: (pictures, number sentence, tally marks)

Homework assignment sheet: we have decided to send home all 4 homework sheets stapled to the assignment sheet. We will collect at the end of the month.
