 Search for Voicethread or go to voicethread.com. Then click “sign in or register” at the top right. Choose “register” on the left and enter the information to create a new account. Finally, click the register button to start your voicethread.voicethread.com

 After creating your account you will be back on the home page. From here, click the “create” tab at the top.  Now, upload a picture, cartoon, or video to voice thread from your computer or the Internet by clicking the “upload” button.

 Now that you have uploaded a picture or video, you have the option of making a comment on it. This could be a comment that elicits reactions from your students about what you have uploaded.  Click the “comment” button and then click the “record” button to record your voice. Once complete, make sure to save what you have recorded.

 Click on “MyVoice” at the top of the page and fill in the title for your page. Also, you can copy the web address of the page to send to other people.  You have just created a voicethread. Now your students can go on to the site and view what you have recorded and make their own oral comments on the topic.
