Greek and Roman Mythology Greek Gods Who Are They ?

The Voyage Suddenly you are transported… You find yourself in Ancient Greece! A lightning bolt strikes!!! The seas rage!!! A chariot drags the sun across the sky!!! Someone with wings on his shoes and a hat flies by you!! You are standing next to someone who is half-man, half-horse and he is playing the flute!!!!!!

WHO ARE THEY? Ancient Greeks had to face many forces of nature. In their effort to understand nature, they invented stories to account for things that went on in their lives. These tales, known as myths, were spread around by travelers. They contained the powerful Olympian Gods, sea gods, sky gods, human heroes, battles, and so on. You will be assigned to one of these gods to find out as much as possible, in order to make us feel safe in our new surroundings.

Your Mission You will research and report the following information on your assigned god: Greek and Roman Name of the god Family Tree (related to…) Symbols associated with the god Character Traits Domain A summary of the myth which told about your god giving the theme of the myth

Written Research Project You will research your project on the Internet (from classroom wiki) You must include all information in your paper You must include an illustration You will present your project to the class
