Kidnapping Persephone Persephone was picking flowers one day when the ground opened up and swallowed her. Hades had kidnapped the minor goddess. Demeter scoured the earth looking for her only child. Unfortunately she ate a pomegranate. She has to spend half the year in the underworld and half on earth.

Orpheus and his Wife One day a man’s wife died. This man’s name is Orpheus. He went to the Underworld to reclaim his wife. Hades told him if he looked back he would die and his wife would be dead forever.
