Course AE2104 Environmental Measuring and Monitoring

Background Investigations of land and water are necessary to give basic information for land use planning and constructions but also for regular environmental monitoring, e.g within the EU water directive framework and national/international environmental goals.

The course comprises:

No pollution Homogenous and diffuseKnown point sourcesUnknown point sources Changes over time ? The formulation of environmental investigations and strategies, depending on statistical distribution

Use of field equipment and instruments (especially geophysical measurement techniques) for non- destructive measurements of soil, water and environmental properties

Analyses and evaluation of measurement data using statistical and modelling technique

The course structure is based on Lectures Exercises Field measurements Computer analyses Evaluations
