ONCE ON THE RECOMMENDED LIST MAINTAINING LIST STATUS Must validate if total point score is 699 or less within a 24 mo. period based on the date of last approved promotion action Failure to validate will result in administratively removal from Recommend List ADMINISTRATIVE EVALUATION Simple recomputation of the administrative points A soldier who believes he/she has increased (through self achievement or awards) his/her latest promotion score by 20 points or more may request an administrative evaluation Submit DA Form 4187 to request evaluation TOTAL REEVALUATION Includes the entire process: the commander’s recommendation, promotion board appearance, and administrative points May be requested at any time by a soldier who increase his/her promotion points by 20 points or more, or after 6 months from the latest board appearance or evaluation if he/she has less than a 20 point increase 2
