NOTRE DAME BY EMILY GREY

INTRODUCTION Notre Dame stands in Paris on the banks of the River Seine. It is the first Christian church, Snt Etienne B Alicia which was itself built on the site of a roman temple to Jupiter.

THE CONSTRUCTION     IT CONTINUED FOR ANOTHER 200 YEARS.

 HOW LONG ITS BEEN STANDING FOR  NOTRE DAME HAS BEEN STANDING FOR A REALLY LONG TIME BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN STANDING THROUGH THE MIDDLE AGES.

 During the French Revolution anti-Christian extremists looted and badly damaged Notre Dame. Repair and restoration of the church did not begin until THE FRENCH REVOLUTION.
