Utilizing Technology in the Science Classroom Brandy R. Savage

Introduction Many teachers and schools are struggling with technology and how to incorporate it into their classrooms Overhead projectors, Powerpoint presentations, using the internet, , using educational computer software, interactive smart-boards, projection systems, vcrs/dvds, microscopes, web cams, etc.

Intro Continued Technology: –Is interactive –Can reach varying learning styles and abilities –Is useful for research and classroom management –Can increase parental involvement in schools –Encourages contacts between students and faculty –Allows for peer learning

Intro Continued Resources are not useful unless the teachers are adept at using the technology Funding?! Be creative
