Why “LIVING WATER” as title? John 7:37-39 CONTEXT: At this time, the Jews had a ceremony of carrying water from the Pool of Siloam (which means “sent”) and pouring it into a silver basin by the altar of burnt offering each day for the first seven days of the Feast of Tabernacles. This ritual made them remember the water from the rock during the wilderness wanderings. The last Day, this was not done. Ritual Over! This made Jesus’ words about “living water” & eternal life shocking.

Why “LIVING WATER” as title? VERSES: “On the last day (DAY SEVEN) of the feast (FEAST OF TABERNACLES), Jesus stood and cried out “If any man is thirsty, let him come to ME and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said (this includes many O.T. references, not just one. Isaiah 58:11, Zech 14:8, & Num. 24:7), From his innermost being (or heart) shall flow rivers of living water. This He spoke of the Holy Spirit, whom those who had believed in Him were to receive, for the Spirit was not yet given, for Jesus was not yet glorified.”

Why “LIVING WATER” as title? Water in Scripture-51 references to “water” in O.T./N.T. Gen. 1, Ex. 1, Psalms 1, Jer. 2, Mt-Acts, Eph 5, & Rev. 22! Water must be: pure, clear, cleanses, renews, quenches, must be “running” to be useful! Wrap up with application “Your Day’s Hydration” = BELIEVE!
