Why do we need food? Ask the pupils why do we need food, what does it do for us. Prompt them by asking is all food good for us? Can the pupils tell you anything about the food we need to eat? You could then identify good foods and bad foods End

Although sugary foods can give us energy, too much can harm our teeth. Visit the dentist regularly to help prevent tooth decay. End

Too many fatty foods in our diet can make us unhealthy as it is stored as fat in our bodies and can clog up our arteries and veins. Take plenty of exercise to try and help prevent this. End

If we do not eat enough of the right kinds of food it can affect our whole body. We can end up feeling tired and lacking in energy. It can also make us feel ill! Try to eat the right kinds of food for your body. End

By not eating too many sugary foods we can protect our teeth from decay. Remember to brush your teeth at least twice a day ! End

If we eat plenty of food containing carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals, we will have plenty of energy to stay fit and healthy ! End

Eating plenty of the right kinds of food affects our whole body. It can give us lots of energy and make us feel ready for anything. It can also help fight off infections. End
