The Need for a National Strategy on Nano-safety in Slovenia Karmen Krajnc, Chemicals Office of the Republic of Slovenia Maja Remškar, Josef Stefan Institute, Ljubjana, Slovenia

Past activities in Slovenia Research sector has been involved in several activities on nanosafety. Several workshops, conferences and lectures on nanosafety at national and international level has been organized. Some publications, articles and media events has been performed.

Education in the near future Course on Nanosafety (Jozef Stefan International Aftergraduate School) Course of nanotoxicology at University in Ljubljana with the expected students in school year is currently in the preparation stage (Faculty for biotechnology)

How to prepare a strategy Small working group – 5-10 persons – scientists – NGOs – industry – decision makers (government) Further intersector consideration Inclusion within national chemical safety programme _chemical_safety_programme__ __FINAL.pdf
