1.The overview( 概述 ) Sarcoptidosis is a parasitic disease( 寄生虫 病 ) caused by Arthropoda-Arachnida- mites 。 Contacting is the important way to infect the disease. But it also can cause infection by mite, eggs pollution( 卵污染 ),the environment, mat grassand, raising management appliance at indirect contact( 间接接触 ) 。

1.The overview( 概述 ) Besides, when the hoggery get dark, damp and the poor nutrition…can promote the disease occurrence and development. Because of the worm body living in the skin , it damages the body integrity of the skin, makes the pig itch uneasy, causes growth dysplasia, gradually angular, and even death

2.Morphology( 病原形态 ) Scabies mites adult body assumes the circular, like a turtle shape, light yellow, white, the reverse side uplift ventrally flat Female mites snakeholes 0.33 ~ 0.45 mm, male mites snakeholes 0.02 ~ 0.23 mm. The body can be divided into back chest and back abdomen. The body has a false front head. Body ventrally to four short and coarse feet.

2.Morphology Scabies mites mouthparts for chewing type, cut in host epidermis dig tunnel to skin tissues and oozy lymphatic fluid for food, inside tunnels development and reproduction. Scabies mites oerall deelopmental process in the host for all life Including the eggs and larvae, nymphs, adult, four stages, leave lodge subject, commonly can only live for three weeks.

1.larva 2.nymph 3.adult 4.host

3.Life Cycle host adult eggs nymphs,

3.Life Cycle The fertilized female creates a winding burrow or tunnel in the upper layers of the epidermis, feeding on liquid oozing from the damaged tissues. The eggs are laid in these tunnles, hatch in 3-5 days, and the six-legged larvae crawl on to the skin surface. These larvae, in turn, burrow into the superficial layer of the skin to create small “moulting pockets” in which the moults to nymphs and adults are completed.

3.Life Cycle The adult male then emerges and seeks a female either on the skin surface or in a moutling pocket. After fertilization the female produce new tunnel, either denovo by extension of the moutling pocket. The entire life cycle is completed in17- 21days.

This picture shows that the female creates a winding burrow or tunnel to give birth.

4.Epidemiology( 流行病学 ) 1. The disease epidemic is very extensive in our country. And it often occurs in cold season because of high humidity and low temperature.

Swine sarcoptidosis is a disease of contact infection.

Diseased pig, polluted objects like pen, appliance etc.

The route of swine sarcoptidosis head→eyeholes and ears →back → around the Trunk( 脊椎 ) → hind limb →all over the body

The symptoms Gargalesthesia Inflammation Rubbing walls Running sore Crust Decreased appetite Emaciation

Diagnosis No.1 Collection of scales Skin scraping → microscope examine → petri dish No.2 Experimental method Direct examination Warm water examination Flotation method

Treatment and prevention Isolate the new swines to make sure they are healthy. Keep the pigsty dry, ventilated, and pervious to light. Control the density (密度) of the swines. Sterilize regularly.

Drugs Dipterex Amitraz Diazinon Iverrmectin Doramectin
