The concept of “multifunctional agriculture”  “By multifunctionality we refer to all the activities which support and are an extension of the agricultural farm. In particular, multifunctionality refers to: the functions already included in the traditional productive process, which must be recognised and made the most of through support and promotion such as territory monitoring, the rescue and safeguard of the rural landscape, environment protection, implementation of biodiversity and crop diversification, growth and treatment of biomasses also for the production of energy, soil protection and impact on Public Administration costs; the functions that can be added to those related to the traditional productive process, which must be a source of income: transformation and commerce of agro-food products (excluding wine, oil and cheese, which are considered agricultural products to all effects), taking care of the green areas and working tools, snow shovelling, cleaning of woods, educational and leisure activities, tourism, person-oriented services.

The stories of the beneficiaries on:  Training experience For native born women with a Rural Farm and migrant women

A nice experience for the women involved: to enforce their competences and to acquire new once To create new relationships with other women To learn the use of the ICT instruments [very useful for the overcoming of the isolation of the people living in rural areas]

 Multifunctional agriculture and Female entrepreneurship

To share with our partners...  Their experiences of life  Their motivation to realize their dreams  The courage, the passion and the spirit of enterprise of these women  Their social commitment for the development of the rural areas

Through the steering committees, the technical visits and the study visits of the beneficiaries we had the opportunity to share our best experiences and to learn from other partners’ experiences with the aim to transfer them in other contexts
