Presentation transcript:

Title I Schoolwide Program We have the opportunity to strengthen our program to meet the needs of all of our students with the federal support of Title I. We are actively addressing the following Title I parent, guardian and community involvement requirements because we know a working partnership is crucial for our students to succeed.

As a Title I school we will: Work with parents to understand and navigate the school system. This will include conversations about the curriculum, tests, behavior plans, funding, improvement plans, etc. Periodically share information about the progress of your child and discuss ways we can work together to ensure each student is successful. Offer materials that may enhance the ways parents and guardians are already working with their children’s learning at home.

Please know that parents and guardians have the right to request the qualifications of each of their child’s teachers. We will inform you if your child’s teachers are NOT considered Highly Qualified and how we are working towards that.

There is a variety of ways our home/school partnership can grow: – School Community Council (SCC) – Parent Teacher Conference – Parent Teacher Association (PTA) – Family Nights – School newsletters – Phone calls – s – Visits before and after school

Let us know if you have any questions or suggestions about how we can best work together. We look forward to working with you this year!!
