#8: The Awesome Being Of God

“…the day of the Lord is indeed great and very awesome, and who can endure it? – ‘Spare Your people, O Lord, and do not make Your inheritance a reproach…Why should they among the peoples say, “Where is their God?’” (Joel 2:11,17)

God IS The Living God He Is the ONE God Deuteronomy 6:4 – “Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one!”

 John 17:3 -- This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

 Acts 14:15 – “…’Men, why are you doing these things? We are also men of the same nature as you, and preach the gospel to you that you should turn from these vain things to a living God….’”

 “Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, ‘I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.’”

 Isaiah 5:16 – “But the Lord of hosts will be exalted in judgment, and the holy God will show Himself holy in righteousness.”  1 Peter 1:15 – “…but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior.”
