Who are the Authors?  The Authors are Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambauet  Bill Martin Jr. also wrote Panda Bear, Panda Bear, What Do You See? And Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?  John Archambauet also wrote Knots on a Counting Rope, Barn Dance, Here Are My Hands, and The Birth of a Whale.

Bill Martin Jr.  Born March 20, 1916  Raised in Hiawatha, Kansas  Educator, publishing executive, and author of more than 300 children's books.  During World War II, he served in the Army Air Force as a newspaper editor and wrote his first book, The Little Squeegy Bug, which was published in 1945.

John Archambault  Born May 15, 1959  Raised in Pasadena, California  Knew he wanted to be a writing since the 3 rd grade after reading Charlotte's Web.  Has created 6 musical CD assortments and written over 20 books for children.
