+ The most important moments of my life. (While you listen, write down one question you want to ask me)

+ I was born on December 6th, 1983

+ I started teaching in 2005

+ I lived in Canada in 2006, while I studied at the University of Toronto.

+ I graduated from college in 2007

+ I came to NYC on September 2rd, 2012

+ Think of important moments of your own life and write some notes on your personal whiteboard. (2 minutes) Go to p. 18 and review the structures for Talk About It. (2 minutes) Get together in pairs. Take turns sharing your stories and asking questions. (10 minutes, 5 minutes each)

+ Jonas Kaufmann was born in Munich on 10 July He started studying piano when he was eight, and he sang in his elementary school choir. Although he studied for mathematics entrance exams, in the summer of 1989 he began his vocal training at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich. Five years later, he graduated from school achieving distinctions both in opera and concert performances. He began his professional career at Staatstheater Saarbrücken in 1994, and made his Salzburg Festival debut in By the age of 37, he had performed in German theaters such as the Stuttgart Opera and Hamburg State Opera, as well as international theaters, including the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Opéra National de Paris, La Scala, and at the Metropolitan Opera. In July 2013, he was named a Kammersänger of the Bavarian State Opera by the Bavarian Ministry of Arts.
