3 Born on July 1st Growing up I lived with both my parents(Deborah and Mark) and my older brother Ryan. We lived in a nice middle class neighborhood located in San Jose. Our house was located quite close to both my elementary and high school. I was born in the city of Santa Clara on July 1,1991.

4 Hacienda Elementary School (1997-2002) Environmental Science Magnet
My educational experience at Hacienda: I started going to Hacienda for kindergarten when I was about 6 years old. I enjoyed learning about the environment and nature as our elementary school had an environmental classroom outside where we learned about various plants and animals. Besides from learning about the environment, I also became interested in music which lead me to take music lessons outside of school to learn how to play the piano. My overall educational experience was good and it helped me be prepared for middle school. I not only grew as a individual but also gained a lot of knowledge from attending Hacienda. I attended Hacienda Elementary School from 1997 to 2002 for kindergarten through 5th grade.

5 Andres Castillero Middle School (2002-2005)
Academic/Visual & Preforming Arts Magnet My educational experience at Andres Castillero Middle School: I attended Andres Castillero Middle School for 6th through 8th grade. Andres Castillero Middle School is a academics/visual and performing arts magnet. I was able to learn more about music in middle school because they offered choir, dance, band, and drama classes. In 6th grade I started getting involved in the performing arts side of the school and joined choir and dance. When I was in 7th grade I joined band and continued to be involved in choir. I then continued to stay involved in band where I learned how to play the saxophone. After being in band at Castillero I went on to tryout for advanced band in High School. Overall I loved everything about Castillero and everything that I learned both academically and musically helped me be successful in High School.

6 Pioneer High School (2005-2009)
My educational experience at Pioneer High School: After attending a performing arts school for middle school, I wanted to stay involved with band but I also wanted to join sports as well. My freshman year I joined cross country and continued until my junior year. Both band and sports helped me grow as a person individually as well as academically as I had to learn how to manage my time so that I could continue to get good grades. Even though I struggled in math during high school it was one of my favorite subjects. Having great teachers who were enthuastic about math helped me become more comfortable with the subject and learn to enjoy it. Another subject that I loved was english. I have always liked writing papers and with all the knowledge I gained at Pioneer I was able to feel more comfortable about being able to write college level papers when attending De Anza College. Overall my experience at Pioneer was great and with having that teachers I did, I was able to feel comfortable and ready for college level work after graduating.

7 De Anza Community College (2009-2011)
My educational experience at De Anza Community College : I started attending De Anza college the summer after I graduated Pioneer High School. My plan was to attend De Anza for two years and then transfer to a California State University. While taking Kinesiology classes I became interested in possibly being a Kinesiology major after transferring. During my second year at De Anza I took my first Psychology class and automatically was intrigued by the subject. After finishing my 2 years at De Anza I then graduated with my AA in liberal arts and transferred to CSUMB.
