Welcome to 9 th Grade Beginning Sightreading! Hello 9 th grade beginning chorus students! During the next three weeks, we will be learning how to sightreading. We will use a non-traditional classroom approach, instead of traditional. Using this approach will allow you to use your creative skills and cooperative learning skills as a means of understanding the concept. This is sure to be a learning experience for everyone. Objectives The student will be able to: 1. notate various pitches. 2. read various pitches. 3. read and notate pitches on various rhythms simultaneously. 4. distinguish the number of beats each measure should have based on the given time signature.
