The Plus Energy House Dortmund

History The Plus Energy House was originally developed on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development. The Plus Energy House won the Solar Decathlon.

Energy Generation The Plus Energy House generates more energy than it consumes - even under German climatic conditions. Power generation by photovoltaics on the roof and the cladding The flat collector produces. hot water The unused electricity is fed into the grid.

Technical facts All walls, windows and the roof are highly heat-insulated. The phase change materials in the walls and the roof adapt the temperature. The materials are renewable, natural and recyclable.

It opened on 7th of december The surplus energy charges a batterie or an electric car. A family moved into the house for 15 months. They can drive with two electric cars or an electric bike.
