The detective must be memorable Detective Elements The detective must be memorable In this chapter Holmes is memorable because he notices things in objects that other people cant see. Examples: As Holmes observes the letter with the cut out words he notices what kind of scissor was used. (page 36) With the written part of the letter used with pen ink Holmes can see that the writer was having trouble because the pen had spluttered its ink about ever two words. By seeing that Holmes concludes with that there was very little ink left in the bottle. (page 37)
