Student Activities in the College Experience that Lead to Successful Transitions Curricular Activities  Guided and managed for students by academic departments and academic resources on campus  Clear guidelines of expectations and success criteria  Tools available for tracking success Curricula check sheets Transcripts Co-Curricular Activities  Often there is no single, clear guiding University resource guiding non-curricular areas  Very few tools available for tracking success  No clear guidelines for success

Communicate these activities to students 3. Provide a process for capturing student activities 4. Motivate students to accurately and consistently archive and track these activities 5. Assess student progress & the effectiveness of the process 6. Provide interim direction and guidance to students

Student180 / eResume180 : Documenting Student Activities and Assessing Progress Web based application that provides a tool and a systematic process for capturing student co-curricular activities The school sees Student180, an application to help them configure a process for capturing and reporting on student activities Students see eResume180, a full resume and portfolio building software Collection and reporting processes, and the data, are shared between the two applications.

Students input activities as they would in a resume and portfolio Students tag activities according to school-prescribed areas of development Beyond a resume it also:  Creates an ePortfolio,  Creates a Co-Curricular Transcript,  Allows for validation of activities and portfolio items,  Generates self-assessment reports to measure personal growth based upon university defined criteria  Provides a job application tracking component

Motivation - Focusing on the goal of a career derived their college experience Start students their first year with activity collection that builds a resume Students are aware from the start of their college experience of:  The need to build professional skills, attitudes and activities  The value of participating in, and documenting their activities both in and out of the classroom  The value of a well structured and complete resume Students are more prepared for applications for co-ops, internships and other work experiences

eResume180 - An Alumni Tracking Tool Students can continue to use eResume180 as a professional resume tool after graduation Alumni can elect to report their career data collected in the software to their Alma Mater Schools would have access to their former students’ career data and contact information from their resume.
