Loss Of Innocent People By:Isabelle County

Background Information On Loss Of Innocent People -Death of a person who is innocent. -Especially a child it tends to affect people more. -A younger persons death vs. Older persons.

Focal Questions -What causes the loss of the innocent character? -Who caused the loss of the innocent character? -In what ways is the character innocent?

Loss of Innocent People in Romeo and Juliet -“Love goes toward the love as schoolboys from their books, But love from love, toward school with heavy looks.” -Romeo is innocent because he connects love to a school boy. Anything that has to do with a child is innocent. -Romeo dies in the end by killing himself with the poison, because he can’t live without his lover Juliet. Their families differences are holding them back from being together. - He couldn’t bare being away from Juliet so he killed him self.

Loss Of Innocent People in After the First Death -“ I’ll testify in your behalf. I’ll tell them you were kind to the children. To me. You didn’t hurt us. You didn’t do anything.” -Kate is around the age of 17 -I know she’s innocent because she begins to plead to Artkin when she realizes that she’s going to get killed. -Also she wasn’t suppose to be on the bus in the first place. -Kate later gets shot in the back of the head.

Loss Of Innocent People in After the First Death -“His membership in the Uncle Otto TeeVee Club (fun for you on channel 2).” -The first quote is describing the young boy Kevin. -Kevin died from a reaction from the drugged candy. -You know he’s innocent because he is a child and children are innocent. Also because he has a membership to a kids club that’s shows innocence.

Loss Of Innocent People in Catcher in The Rye -“ His teachers were always writing letters to my mother, telling her what a pleasure it was having a boy like Allie in their class.” -Allie is Holden’s younger brother who died of leukemia. -He was very young around the age of 12 maybe. -Allie is innocent because he was an intelligent student who everyone loved and enjoyed to have around. Also he didn’t really have a chance at life.

Loss Of Innocent People in “Traveling Through The Dark” a doe, a recent killing; she had stiffened already, almost cold. I dragged her off; she was large in the belly. -William Stafford -The deer is the innocent character in this poem - It got hit by a car -The deer is innocent because she didn’t do anything to get killed. Also she was pregnant and the baby died as well. The car took the life of her and her baby. In this case, it’s a loss of an innocent mother and a unborn baby.

Loss Of Innocent People in Run Away love “It's only one girl really knows what she's about, her name is little Stacy and they become friends. Promise that they'll always be tight 'til the end Until one day, lil' Stacy gets shot A drive-by bullet went stray up on her block.” -Stacy is innocent because she is a little girl -The fact that her name is lil (little) Stacy shows that she’s innocent. -The promise to be friends forever -She dies because she gets shot in a shoot out.

Loss Of Innocent People in REAL LIFE “ I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.” -This shows that Dr. Martin Luther King is innocent because he wants everyone to be equal. Also to better America. - The segregation and racism caused the death of Dr. Martin Luther King. -Assassinated April 4th, 1968 in Memphis Tennessee

Conclusions In literature, music, and real life innocent people die, whether they are adults, teens, and even newborns. Death affects everyone. Especially when it’s a death of an innocent person.

The end. Thank you!
