Computers typically play both DVDs and CDs in the same drive. The newest drive to gain popularity is the USB Drive or Flash Drive. When it comes to file and media storage, the best "bang for your buck" definitely belongs to the external hard drive or disk.

Most of the computers on the Internet perform one of three functions. They either request data, provide data, or help send data along the network. Voice Over IP(Internet Protocol) a telephone network that uses the Internet instead of standard phone lines to connect to connect calls. Online Muli-Player Gaming is using the Internet to play games with other people anywhere around the world. Internet Relay Chat(IRC) allows users to instantly send messages to each other. A Web Page is a document on the Web, consisting of an HTML(HyperText Markup Language) file and any related files for scripts and graphics, and often hyper- linked to other documents on the Web. This method of searching uses software programs that search the web and record information.

The web designer plans and builds the visual interface of a web site. These web sites allow you to navigate throughout the site, usually only displaying information. Both web design and development are extremely time consuming. The term “Webmaster” was made popular in the late 90’s. It refers to someone who can do it all: design, develop, and maintain a web site. 7 Steps in Building a Web Site 1. Determine the Problems, Define the Purpose/Goals 2. Gather Info & Research 3. Shape Solution, Determine Content, Choose Technology, Story board/Map Site 4. Gather Assets 5. Construct Site 6. Test, Improve, Test, Improve, Etc. 7. Publicize the Site

Your home page is the most important page of your web site because it is the first page visitors will see.
