Copyright © Ed2Net Learning, Inc.2 Hello! How are you? we are going to begin another Lesson on Multiplication.

Copyright © Ed2Net Learning, Inc. 3 Multiply by 3 factors Three factors can also be multiplied to find the product. Example: 2 x 5 x 3 = 30

Copyright © Ed2Net Learning, Inc. 4 Associative Property of multiplication When multiplying, the grouping of the factors does not change the product. Example: ( 1 x 2) x 3 = 1 x ( 2 x 3)

Copyright © Ed2Net Learning, Inc. 5 To find product of 3 numbers To find product of 6 x 1 x 3, group the numbers first. (6 x 1) x 3 or 6 x (1 x 3) Then product can be calculated. Thus 6 x (1x 3) = 18

Copyright © Ed2Net Learning, Inc. 6 Use of commutative property and Associative property in finding product of 3 numbers. Commutative Property and Associative Property helps to change the order and grouping of the number to make it easier to multiply.
