“It is great to be…  HUSD is Number 1 Large, public school district in AZ.  All Higley schools earned “A's”  HUSD is the ONLY K-12 public school district in the AZ to have ALL schools receive an “A” ratings.  Cooley and Sossaman Middle schools tied as the No. 2 ranked district middle schools in Arizona.  HUSD is one of only 9 districts to earn an “A” rating each of the 4 years of the state’s letter grade system.  HUSD has been in the Top 10 of all public school districts in Arizona for the last four years.

Grades are based on: 80/20 80% Assessment 20% CW/HW  Semester Final Exam (20%)  Assessments (60%) Chapter Tests, Benchmarks, Quizzes, Checkpoints  Classwork (10%): bell work, interactive notebook, participation and any other work assigned  Homework (10%): based on effort, work shown, neatness and completeness.  Retakes and Resubmits are available
