6 Race-Neutral & Race-Conscious Up to 20% of evaluation criteria may be awarded to prime Respondent certified as SBE eligible firm Must also be certified M/WBE when applied race-consciously Prohibits SBE and S/M/WBE Respondents from subcontracting more than 49% of the contract to firms not similarly certified Affirmative Procurement Tools (APIs) SBE Prime Contractor Program

8 Component of the Purchasing Department’s new procurement system (SAePS) Vendors/Suppliers wishing to take advantage of the features and benefits of the City of San Antonio procurement system are required to complete the electronic registration process CIMS will be utilizing the full functionality of new procurement system later this year Central Vendor Registry (CVR)

12 Based on the type of solicitation, instructions for responding may differ Read and understand the requirements If a question is posed, answer it directly Ensure your submittal is organized and professional Attend pre-submittal meetings/site visits Allow enough time to review your submittal General Tips for All Solicitations

13 Follow the format provided in the RFQ submittal checklist and table of contents Adhere to page limits outlined in the RFQ Provide project examples that are similar in scope or service to the subject RFQ; tailor your proposal Clearly define which team members will be working on the proposed project and percentage of time Tailor your project approach to the proposed project; use of charts and photos are highly encouraged Consider evaluation criteria when developing your proposal Preparing A Response
