Baby strollers today only have wheel locks that require the person to manually push the brake adjuster to lock the wheels of the stroller. This is seen as a problem because users are always careless to lock the brake and this has lead to accidents. Problem Statement
According to the statistics made in 2010 by child lawyer, Jeffrey Killino, annually, as many as 13,000 children under age three get hurt in stroller accidents. Unfortunately, about two children die each year from stroller-related incidents. One of the major causes of accidents is caused by poor braking system.
Most baby strollers are not entertaining enough to the babies and failed to keep the baby preoccupied, thus, make them cry. This is proven by referring to a research made by the baby company, Fisher Price. They found out that babies will feel discomfort whenever he or she is at static mode. Babies need something that can catch their attention such as moving objects or sounds to make them calm.
Divided into 3 parts : Brake system – apply braking system based on the airport’s luggage cart braking concept(push-to-move concept). Visual system – installing a rotating picture under the hood to catch the attention of the baby. Audio system – a built in speaker is used to produce the sound of suitable decibel for a baby. It is connected to any audio device via audio jack. SOLUTIONS

This project is divided into three parts : 1. Braking system 2. Visual system 3. Audio system RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
Braking system
Visual system
PROBLEMS: Baby usually attracted to moving object. For example, babies usually fall asleep or stay quiet when in the car or being pushed in baby stroller. When the vehicles stops, the babies felt uneasy and might cry. OBJECTIVE: We aim to add more entertainment feature on the baby stroller to make the baby feels comfortable. SOLUTION: Visual system consist of rotating attractive wallpaper to make the baby stay quiet placed on top of the baby stroller’s umbrella.
The motor inside the box will rotate the gear attached to the wooden rod. The wooden rod then will rotate the back steel roller. The rotation of the back roller will rotate the wallpaper attached between the front and back roller. The wallpaper will continue rotating at a speed suitable for the babies. This will attract the baby and keep them calm.
