American Chemical Society 3 Planning for the Exposition Set your revenue goals by reviewing your budget Create sponsorship opportunities to increase revenue and attract the target audiencesponsorship opportunities Develop the Exposition’s schedule based on the session program Decide on the format of the Exposition (table-tops, full booths) Prepare an Exhibitor Prospectus that outlinesExhibitor Prospectus benefits and demographics Plan activities to attract traffic to the exhibit area Advertise exhibitor participation on the Website, signage, and mailings Identify a General Contractor to handle exhibits and poster boards Stay in constant communication with your ACS Meeting Planning Partner

American Chemical Society 4 Identifying Exhibitors Ask your ACS Meeting Planning Partner to contact the ACS Expositions staff to pull a list of national meeting exhibitors within your region or to send an e-blast on your behalf to the exhibitors. Contact your previous year exhibit chair and/or your meeting planning partner to obtain a list of exhibitors. Ask your ACS Meeting Partner to contact the host city Convention Visitor’s Bureau for potential leads from similar shows.

American Chemical Society 5 Keeping Exhibitors Informed Respond to questions in a timely manner Disseminate correspondences in electronic format Outline specifics (requirements, schedule, etc.) within the contract Accept credit card and check payments and provide an invoice and receipt Update and Post the key Exhibit information on the Website Prepare an Exhibitor Service Kit to include key information regarding the program, schedule, and exhibit installation/dismantling rules
