FRESNO COUNTY remains #1 in Agricultural Production for California! $5,944,758,000 Fourth year over $5 billion 11.2% Increase

Almonds  Acreage increased  Additional acreage came into production  If water allocations continue next year, there could be an increase in yields

Fresh and Processing Tomatoes  Acreage down, BUT not due to lack of water availability  Market price dropped & growers opted for crops with greater returns

Cantaloupes  Planted acreage was up  Tonnage was up  However, production value decreased, a function of market demand

Cotton… A Reflection of Water  Acreage continues upswing for 2011
