OUR SCHOOL

Hello! We are students of 1.C class at Secondary Vocational School of Forestry in Tvrdošín.

Tvrdošín is a beautiful small town on the north of Slovakia. We live in a region called Orava. Look at the map

SOŠ Lesnícka = Secondary Vocational School of Forestry Our head teacher’s name is Viliam Gerčák. Our school has got around 220 students and 30 teachers. Our school is a quite large building with two floors, ten classes, cloakrooms, snack bar, playing field, fitness centre, sauna, long corridors, staff room, practice rooms, computer classroom, language classroom, teacher´s rooms, conference room as well as headmaster´s office. Almost every class is equipped with modern equipment for example an interactive whiteboard, a projector, a CD player and a radio. A disadvantage is that we don´t have any own gym or canteen 

There is a football pitch outside where we like playing football at PE lessons. We spend breaks in the school yard, especially when the weather is good, our school has built a small wooden shelter where we can spend our breaks between lessons.

In our opinion, our school is one of the best schools in Slovakia We participate in many competitions. We have won a lot of competitions in arts, sports (football, floorball, running) as well as forestry competions etc.

Our English class Our English teacher’s name is Andrea Kudjáková. We have a friendly relationship with her. There are 18 students in our English class. We are good friends and support each other. We like spending time at our school (sometimes)
