Life Expectancy Russia' old economy polluted the air making it less healthy. Russia ’ s air pollution also has caused rising cancer and falling life expectancy in the country. Russia's New Goverment Russia's New Goverment Russia is still learning on how to act in their new goverment. Before, the Russian leaders could do whatever they wanted. They also got to punish any people who would criticize their descions. Now the leaders must learn to follow the new law and the Russian goverment officials have to adjust to accepting disagreements over the goverment policies. Ethnic Groups Ethnic Groups Russia has many different ethnic groups.Some groups want to form their own countries seperate from Russia. One of these groups are the Chechens. They live in Chechnya close to the Caspian Sea in the southern part of Russia. The Russian troops have fought the Chechen forces to still keep Chechnya a part of southern Russia.

Good Things About Present Russia Russia has followed the United States in their government and economy style. Now they have adopted a free market economy and a democracy. Advantages Russia is now a free market economy and a democracy. Russia has a better chance at winning a war because of its winter. Russians get free health care and Russian made medicines. It has great food there, that is inexpensive like squid salad, crab meat salad. Jobs aren’t very hard to find. You can have a very good time in Russia from movies, clubs, theaters, operas, concerts, exhibitions, festivals, and fairs.
