Introducing the WildCare Trust
Presentation transcript:

What Is The WildCare Trust? The Wildcare trust was set up 2005 with an aim to save animals from extinction. Wildcare are a charity which rely on its members for financial support to continue their work. Wildcare help all animals from the smallest creatures to the biggest creatures Also they offer an appealing adoption scheme for each and every member for a fee depending on your age group and you can adopt any endangered animal you want.

General Facts About Endangered Species: In the United States, 735 species of plants and 496 species of animals are listed as threatened or endangered. There are more than 1,000 animal species endangered worldwide. There are more than 3,500 protected areas in existence worldwide. These areas include parks, wildlife refuges and other reserves. They cover a total of nearly 2 million square miles (3% of our total land area) Aquatic species, which are often overlooked, are facing serious trouble. One third of the United States’ fish species, two-thirds of its crayfish species, and almost three-quarters of its mussel species are in trouble.

The Threats To The Endangered Species These are just some of the threats affecting the endangered animals in the world: Climate change Loss of habitat Hunting Predator

How Can I Become A Member? Becoming a member at WildCare is simple. There are two choices for you to choose from, both letting you adopt and become a member: Firstly, the Kids Membership (under 13s): Members will receive a Welcome Pack including a membership card, a badge and a sticker album. Members will receive stickers and activity sheets twice a year to keep them up to date on the work of the charity. Teens Membership: Members will receive a Welcome Pack and will be able to download the database of information about the endangered species. The welcome pack will include a membership card, sample reports from the database, a leaflet with information about some of the animals and an adoption application form. Teen members will receive a magazine twice a year to keep them up to date on the work of the charity.

How Much Does It Cost And How Can I Get ? How Much Does It Cost And How Can I Get Involved ? If you want to become a member the fees depend on which membership you are taking. The teens membership is £10 The kids membership is £3.50 All you have to do to become a member is to fill in the adoption form on the leaflet and send it off with your fee, and every penny of your membership fee goes straight to helping endangered animals.
