Introduction Membership Threats Endangered Species

Next Back Introduction Home The WildCare Trust was set up in 2005 with the aim of saving animals from extinction. It is a charity and relies on its members for financial support to continue its work. Membership fees are the main source of income, supported by the animal adoption scheme and donations. We believe that young people can make a difference to the wellbeing of animals across the globe.

Next Back Endangered Species Home Humans have caused the extinction of numerous animals throughout history. When a species disappears, it is extinct, meaning it can never come back. Some endangered species may already be gone forever. There are more than 1,000 animal species endangered worldwide Aquatic species, which are often overlooked, are facing serious trouble.

Next Back Threats Home Climate change poses a fundamental threat to species. Sea levels are rising and oceans are becoming warmer with longer, more intense droughts. Hunting is a threat as some endangered species are targeted for their value on illegal markets. The loss of animal habitat is caused by the destruction or splitting up of habitat to enable humans to use the land. Predators are a big threat to endangered species, which are being attacked by other animals, it is a fight for survival.

Back Membership Home At present, there are three levels of membership - Platinum, Gold and Silver. Two new options are planned for next year.
