The Blytheville Middle School Library serves 484 students in the seventh and eighth grades. The majority of the students are African American and the minority are White, Hispanic, and Asian students. The students attend a library orientation at the beginning of each school year. (D.Davis, personal communication, September 8, 2011)

Ms. Davis has students on different reading levels and with a variety of interests. To deal with this she keeps books below grade level and above grade level to meet every students needs. She also does an interest inventory during library orientation, so she can order books that the students want to read. (D.Davis, personal communication, September 8, 2011) (Microsoft Office Online)
