Population and Health Research Center Vision The Center establishes a population-based national health surveillance system to collect information for the formulation of policies, accesses the effects and achievements of program implementation, and collects and analyzes data for the formulation and promotion of program activities

M ission : The planning and implementation of National and City/County representative health and risk behavior surveillance system. The establishment of birth reporting via internet and management of birth reporting databank. Analysis of survey and birth reporting data, application and dissemination of data analysis results.

Print out all kinds of birth notification - related statistics reports. Find out exceptional births and the parturient. Commit to health care of the non- citizen parturient and follow up with births having defects. Monitor practices of notification by medical organizations under its jurisdiction to fully control timeliness of notification. (According to the law, notification must be made within 7 days of the birth date.) Calculate statistics of all birth-related information and distribution on a national scale Use programs to examine contradictory information of the new birth and the parturient. Filter out to exceptional data of the new birth and the parturient. Monitor all of the notification data.
