PHY111: Summer Lesson 08: Electricity & Magnetism II -Electromagnetism -Electromagnetic Waves 1/4

Waves Worksheet & Clips: This worksheet (in the Lesson 08 folder) will replace the online worksheet I was going to give. The online worksheet is currently not available, so we will not use it this semester. Video Clips: Watch the following video clips carefully – pausing and taking notes for yourself when appropriate/needed. Some Test II questions will come directly from information presented in these videos. [I just discovered this video series and I like it a lot – their animations are great]. [Old video, but he goes through a lot of great E&M demonstrations]. 2/4

Grades/Assignments: Read Sections , 13.4, 13.5; Homework 2 is to complete the Waves Worksheet (you may turn this in on Wednesday as a print-out). 3/4

Looking Ahead: Lesson 09 will be an in-class lesson on Waves & Periodicity. We will primarily be exploring light and sound waves. Three labs will be completed during the course of that lesson. REMEMBER that when Blackboard goes down you will be accessing the files for our lessons (and any announcements) here: Also, a reminder that if you elected to complete the optional 9- questions assignment, it will be due to me (via ) by 8:30am Monday morning. 4/4
