2 Today’s Goals Introduce Selected Concepts of Strategic Planning Develop Vision and Mission Statements for the Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) Advisory Committee

4 Strategic Planning…What An organized, documented method of determining what an agency or group hopes to accomplish and how it will accomplish it. Future-oriented.

5 Strategic Planning…Why Management tool. Provides direction for agency personnel. Guides resource decisions. Provides justification for budget requests.
