Themes  Becoming poor –  how did that happen?  What were the regional factors that played into that?  Survival Strategies;  options available in the local area, other institutions, emigration, seasonal migration, rent arrears etc.  Entering the workhouse/admission;  Political composition of the Board of Guardians  distance from the workhouse  maintenance of the workhouse etc
