Our library includes about 1 million items.

Structure of the library:  Room directory;  3 subscriptions;  3 reading rooms;  Library stations in the hostels № 8, 10, 11, 12;  3 internal departments.

Our subscriptions:  Training subscription;  Scientific subscription;  Fiction subscription.

The reading room of foreign literature (Room 425 of the Main building) You can find here:  Books, dictionaries, magazines in English, German, French and other languages;  Fiction and educational literature.

Information bibliographic department (Room 139 of the Main building):  Provides open access to the universal fund of the reference, encyclopedical and official literature;  Does bibliographic references in traditional way and on-line;  Consults readers;  Organizes Information days about new editions, which received our library.

To get a library card:  2 photo (size 3x4);  4 hryvnias;  Student ID;

All services in all subscriptions and reading rooms are only with library card.

Room directory (Room 158 of the Main building):  Alphabetical catalogue;  Systematic catalogue;  File cabinets;  Electronic catalogue.

Reference and bibliographic apparatus of the library

Alphabetical catalogue – is a catalogue, where all documents are arranged in order of the alphabet.

Searching in the alphabetical catalogue:  If you know the author of the book, search it for the author;  Books that are more than 3 authors should look for the title.

Systematic catalogue – is a catalogue, where cards are placed on branches of knowledge in accordance with classification tables.

Searching in the systematic catalogue:  If the author and the title of the book is not known, but known the subject or topic;  Start searching from the Alphabetical Index.

Alphabetical Index:  Helps to find a number according to your subject or topic in the catalogue;  Makes using a systematic catalogue easier.

Electronic catalogue:  Combines functions of the different kinds of the catalogues – alphabetical, systematic;  Provides a possibility to find documents in a different ways.
