Teens’ problems Looks/Fashion Work done by: Andreia nº2 Daniela nº7 Raquel nº17 Teresa nº20 10ºC

Teenagers are more and more worried about their appearance. Everyday adolescents spend time (and money) in clothes, hair and accessories. In our work we will refer tosome reasons to explain the strange obsession with fashion by teenagers.

Feeling well - fashion is often associated with teenager’s well-being. To affirm their personality – in this point of teen’s life their style is important to impose their individuality, personality and express some emancipation. To fit in a group – sometimes adolescents are shy and insecure, so they change their appearance to be accepted by their friends, or to imitate their idols. To please their boyfriend / girlfriend. Reasons for the sudden importance of fashion:

Examples of styles Punk; Gothic; Emo; Hippies; Hip-hoppers.

Fashion has became a necessity in teenagers’ life. In these days they need to fit in and feel good with themselves and those around them. In this work we tried to explain the inexplicable allure of teens about appearance.
