Changes in the Conditions of Immigrants in Latin America By: Ariana Martinez

Changes in Immigrants ● Before independence: Only Spanish ● After independence: Open to all o Mainly Italians and Spanish

Reasons ● Most immigrants were lower class ● Worked as laborers o some were seasonal workers ● Hard to buy land o land owning was prestigious
