Wicked Boq, Tibbet, Shenshen, Crope, Fiyero, Avaric, and Pfannee go to the Philosophy Club. Yackle is a new character; she guides the group through the Philosophy Club. Elphaba and Glinda leave Shiz and go to Oz. They go see the Wizard of Oz, the Great and Terrible. When they meet him, Elphaba begins to recount the story of the Animals and Shiz and begs him to help them. He appears in the form of a skeleton who can take apart his body. He offers no help to them, and succeeds in making Elphaba more angry. Elphie decides to stay and sends Glinda back, not telling her what she plans to do in Oz.

Wicked Five years pass and Fiyero is standing in a chapel looking at a picture of Saint Glinda. Glinda has apparantly married and become a saint. He finds Elphie praying in a hop in front of the painting of Glinda. He calls out to her, but she pretends she is not herself. She finally admits to him she is an agent against Oz, but gives him no further details. They begin an affair that lasts for months. In the meantime, Fiyero continues to send gifts home to his family.

Wicked Fiyero tells Elphie that Boq married Miss Milla, whom tried to commit suicide every chance she got. Avaric is a business man who travels but lives in Shiz. He begs Fae, as he calls Elphie, to tell him more about her secret job, but she will not for his own protection. We do learn that there is to be an assassination of someone in the Gale Force or government of Oz, but are unsure whom it will be.

Wicked Read Pages , In the Vinkus and Jasper Gates if Kiamo Ko Chapters 1-4- Continue to GIST Answer these questions in paragraph form: What is the significance of Elphaba's green skin? What are the rewards of being so different, and what are the drawbacks? In Oz -- and in the real world -- what are the meanings associated with the color green, and are any of them pertinent to Elphaba's character? Wicked is an epic story, built along the lines of a Shakespearean or Greek tragedy, in which the seeds of Elphaba's destiny are all sown early in the novel. How much of Elphaba's career is predestined, and how much choice does she have? Do you think that she was no more than a puppet of the Wizard or Madame Morrible, as she fears?
