NICHOLAS MILLER By Nicholas

My Route! 1854 miles 1786 miles 443 miles 226 miles 533 miles 4842 miles

WHAT I‘M DOING FAMILY VACATION IS A PROJECT WHERE I CREATE A FUTURE VACATION TO FOUR PLACES. (I CHOSE THE GRAND CANYON, SALTON SEA, THE MOJAVE DESERT, AND THE GREAT SALT LAKE) I HAVE TO EXPLAIN WHY IT'S IMPORTANT. ALSO, I HAVE TO FIND THE ROUTE, AND AMOUNT OF MONEY IT IS TO TRAVEL TO THESE PLACES. ALSO, I HAVE TO FIND OUT WHAT FOOD, HOW MUCH THE FOOD COSTS, FIND HOTELS TO STAY AT, AND FIGURE OUT HOW MUCH THE HOTEL COSTS. AND I HAVE TO PLAN THE ACTIVITIES AND HOW MUCH THEY COST.

GRAND CANYON The Grand Canyon is important because it was a locale of human use and jobs. It took 3-6 million years to form and is 4,500 feet below South Rim and 5,400 feet below North Rim. The Grand Canyon was also formed by the Colorado river, which flows west through the canyon.

SALTON SEA The Salton Sea is important because it was a body of water that was polluted and the people who lived there thought it would just drain but it kept getting bigger. Eventually, it became a problem and no one could live there, then it became a ghost town.

MOJAVE DESERT Some interesting facts about Mojave Desert are it is different from most deserts because in winter the temp. can drop to under 20 degrees F. and can raise back up to 120 degrees F.

GREAT SALT LAKE The Great Salt Lake is the largest lake that is natural west of the Mississippi River. It is also about 75 miles long and 35 mile wide. The Great Salt Lake is salty because it has no outlet and tributary rivers are constantly bringing in dissolved salt in their freshwater flow.

COSTS TRANSPORTATION MULTIPLYING THE MILES AND MPG, THEN MULTIPLYING THE AVERAGE PRICE OF GAS, THE TOTAL COST WOULD BE $ /16X2.18= MILES MPG AVG PRICE OF GAS TOTAL HOTELS AND ATTRACTIONS THE TOTAL COST FOR HOTELS IS $ AND THE TOTAL COST FOR ATTRACTIONS IS $ FOOD THE TOTAL COST FOR BREAKFAST IS $ AND THE TOTAL COST FOR LUNCH IS $ AND THE TOTAL COST FOR DINNER IS $ THE TOTAL COST FOR THEM ALL IS $
